The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

The first week of school, and I already feel like i've been here forever!

Hey guys! I started school just last wednesday but right away had to jump into homework, a football game last night and a test or two next week! Not to mention college app stuff and all these forms I have to fill out... no rest for the Seniors.

Last night's game went well. Our theme was "beach" and we all dressed up in beach clothes. We played "magical mystery tour", "surfin' USA", "California Girls" (the beach boys one, not the katy perry one) "Wipeout/Jaws" and "Party Rock Anthem" which we did a dance to.
Our next game's theme is boy bands and girl bands. I love the boy band one, because it's got all these songs that I totally grew up with (INSYNC's Bye Bye Bye, Backstreet Boys Larger than Life, ect.) We're also playing "Forget You" which is my mom's favorite.

I decided not to sign up for TDW's first event, because really when am I going to have time to do it? So yeah.
