Character Refs 2010: Scarlet

MAIN TRIO TIME! Scarlet of the main trio of my characters is first, because people wanted to see her first. This was a hard ref to do, because Scarlet is one of my oldest characters, and plus, she's kinda hard to draw. Her shaded picture is partially an update on this piece: [link] Have I gotten better?
For the main trio, I added the songs box. Scarlet has only 1 song, but Charna has at least 2 and Panic has like, 4.
Description time!

PERSONALITY: Scarlet is a bit hard to define personality-wise. She's sociable, quick to make allies and to trust; she's driven; she can overestimate her abilities at times. Generally, she accepts the weird and adjusts well to change. When she was younger, she was a real hot head, but has matured and become mellower. Sometimes Scarlet looses sight of the big picture and focuses on only one thing. But she is resilient and doesn't let things put her down too much. Compared to me, she's less sensitive and emotional in general.
BACKSTORY: Scarlet lives in NYC, probably somewhere in Brooklyn, with her mother, step-father and half brother. She will be a Junior this upcoming school year (2010-11). Her family knows she is a shapeshifter, but no one else.
Scarlet's mother and birth father were never married, although they had planned to be. Before Scarlet was born, her father mysteriously disappeared. Her mother doesn't know why; one of Scarlet's goals in life is to find her father. However, she does know that Scarlet inherited her shapeshifting abilities from her father.
When she was younger, Scarlet hated keeping her ability to shapeshift a secret. She would fantasize about becoming famous, and spent a lot of time with the birds of the city. But as she got older, she left much of that fancy -and her bird friends- behind and accepted the fact that being a shapeshifter needed to be a secret.
Scarlet got her Aura abilities from a strange multi-dimensional creature named Slowbendy. (His last name is never to be spoken because it'll give anyone who hears it bad luck.) His own charge for Scarlet was to use those abilities wisely, and a lot of Scarlet's adventures are about her trying to find the origins of shapeshifting in general. She herself has become a dimension-hopper, and knows people from all over the multi-verse.
ALTER EGOS: I've explained before that Scarlet and I (the person writing this description) aren't the same person. I chose Scarlet as my online name because of the character. Besides, Scarlet and I have different personalities, we look different, and in comics or stories that I write, we have different powers. Scarlet Blue Borrows from me. In the Dukes Saga, I got Scarlet to fight Dukes before I did because of Blue Borrowing. (It turned out, that's not what Duke was after.)
EAGLE SCARLET: A lot of people have shapeshifting characters that shapeshift into creatures with some distinct markings on them. I guess I never picked up on that because Scarlet's eagle form looks just like a golden eagle. The only difference? She has yellow eyes like a bald eagle instead of the typical golden eagle eyes. This is because I like bald eagle eyes.

One thing I forgot to draw on the ref is the Shako. Something that Scarlet wears out of her story, it's a hat given to her by Charna and Panic to make up for her not having a cool hat or ears like they do. A shako is a marching hat. Scarlet's shako has a pair of square goggles on them because they look cool. The shako is (obviously) scarlet-colored.
