Well the ball dropped in NYC, so I'm going to write a New Year's journal now.
2014 was an interesting year at large, for lot of people, and while I think it was a very successful year for me in terms of art (started a webcomic, Heroes of Thantopolis
, which has been a goal for a long time) and in other areas (a wonderful summer intership, making new friends at school, nearly a 4.0 GPA after the winter semester) it was also a year with some challenges - especially emotional and gender-related ones - that I want to tackle in 2015. I want to be healthier and more confident in being myself not just when I'm all alone at my computer. At the moment, I'm not sure how I'm going to do that, but I believe I can.
I wish for everyone's health and happiness in the new year! Please remember to take care of yourselves, get plenty of sleep (;0) and accomplish what you want to with your life. You can do it! Would I have thought a year ago I would be chugging away at a webcomic that's gaining momentum as we speak? I can say probably not - I was worried I wouldn't even get past a week's work on it.
You conquer it!
In other news, I still have a week and change of winter break left, but I'm getting my wisdom teeth taken out on Saturday, so I'll lose a few days for that. I've got comics to work on but I'd love to make a reference sheet for my new favorite fan-Digimon Ropymon's evolutions in the style of Brek's
from January of 2014.
Thanks for reading!
